All my single Grammys

Beyoncé foi a grande ganhadora da 52ª edição do Grammy, premiação mais importante do ramo musical. A cantora levou seis dos dez prêmios a que estava concorrendo, entre eles os de “melhor canção do ano”, “melhor performance de R&B” e “melhor música de R&B”, todos com o hit “Single Ladies”.

Outro destaque da noite foi Taylor Swift. Além de arrebatar o troféu de “melhor álbum do ano”, tornou-se a mais jovem ganhadora da categoria.

Entre outros ganhadores da noite estão Lady Gaga, The Black Eyed Peas, Kings of Leon e Green Day.

No evento, Celine Dion, Jennifer Hudson, Smokey Robinson, Carrie Underwood e Usher cantaram em homenagem a Michael Jackson. Os dois filhos mais velhos do cantor, Prince Michael e Paris, subiram ao palco e agradeceram o tributo.

A premiação também abriu espaço para caridade, em uma iniciativa do produtor musical haitiano Wyclef Jean. Andrea Bocelli e Mary J. Blige cantaram juntos com o objetivo de recolher fundos para auxílio ao Haiti.

A noite contou com shows de Lady Gaga, Green Day, Pink, Dave Matthews Band, Roberta Flack e Maxwell, Eminem, Lil Wayne, Beyoncé, Taylor Swift, Zac Brown Band e Bon Jovi, que fez uma votação online para os fãs escolherem qual música seria apresentada. A escolhida foi “Livin’ on a Prayer”.

Este ano, a edição do Grammy não foi exibida ao vivo. Os produtores decidiram gravar o espetáculo e exibi-lo horas depois, com tempo suficiente para evitar gafes como a de anos anteriores, quando a blusa de Janet Jackson rasgou no meio da apresentação e deixou à mostra o seio da cantora, dando o que falar na mídia.
